Questions

What is a good wing loading for an RC plane?

Gliders and park flyers 15–30 g/dm², trainers 30–45, sport and FPV planes 45–70, fast and heavy planes 70–100+. The tool also compares your number with your airframe type.

How do I work out wing area?

Use the CG calculator: it adds up every wing panel. Then press "Use area from my last CG calculation" here.

How is the stall speed calculated?

From weight, wing area and the maximum lift coefficient of your airfoil type, at sea-level air density. Real stall speed also depends on flaps and how clean the wing is.
