LW-PLA settings that work
LW-PLA foams as it prints. Hotter means lighter. These starting values give 0.5–0.6 mm walls on a 0.4 mm nozzle.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Nozzle temperature | 230–240 °C |
| Flow | 45–55 % |
| Line width | 0.6 mm |
| Walls · infill · top/bottom | 1 · 0 % · 0 |
| Part fan | low, 20–30 % |
| Retraction | off (avoids clogs) |
Tune it with a test cube
Print a 30 mm single-wall cube and weigh it. Lower the flow until the wall measures 0.5–0.6 mm with calipers. Write down the weight: your wing sections should match it per square centimetre.
